For .. It's spring time :)

This time around... my craft supplies were literally beckoning me to sit and craft.
To create something .. to make something fresh :)

And trust me,  creating n designing and crafting can be as therapeutic as any spa session for me:).

So, this time I wanted to make something with the fresh and flowery feel of spring ... for finally winters are done with :).

I ended up creating a mixed media clock ..  with flower's and birds.. about as springy as it gets.

and since I clicked a lot of pictures... this is going to be a picture heavy post:)

so .. that is how I started ... I used some modeling paste and a pretty ornate stencil to create the background

Used my favorite Lindy's starburst spray's to get the color ... only thing, instead of misting them all over, I used them with a brush so that I could get the desired effect ..
 then ...

mulberry flowers, some pattern paper... quilled leaves ... fussy cut birds ... And Laser cut mdf embellishments :)

And here we go :)

 The Final piece :)

Do let me know:). what you think of my , super special and very springy:)...  mixed media clock.

Since, I am entering this in the super fun lulupu birthday challenge this month:

Lulupu 2nd birthday special
My project consists of:

L - leaves, laser cut wooden embellishments, Lindy's sprays
P - pattern paper
C - clock, card stock(for base)

A Lazy Blogger :)

Hey guys :), so when I actually opened my blog .. the realization finally dawned on me that I had not blogged for over 3months .. and we're well into march 2014 ..

And can you guess .. this year's resolution :D..
obviously .. to blog about my creations a lil bit more ... well , so much for resolutions :)

Anyhow, the one post that I really should have put up ... And that too very proudly :).. is that I got the opportunity to be a guest designer for LULUPU - THE CRAFT STORE :)

A SCRAPPY-LICIOUS LAYOUT

The theme was scrap - your-  scraps and here is what I created for it :)

Everything that I have used in this layout has been leftover from previous projects.

This is how I started … I first adhered strips of newspaper to a rescued chipboard and then, arranged my strips of pattern paper on a (previously cut out) heart

I then applied a light coat of Gesso on the newspaper (heat dried it ) and then misted it with Lindy’s starburst sprays.

I used a TCW stencils and modeling paste in the background …  and then again misted it till I achieved the effect that I liked

I then pasted my scrap pp heart ( which I lightly edged with distress ink) and then embellished it with some hearts that were again the negatives from a previously made frame.

A mixed media affair :)

I have another project to share with you guys :)

A project, that I made with a lot of love and after a lot of tries :)..... ( And using a lot of supplies :) of course )

I started with priming my shadow box with Gesso, added Texture to it with modeling paste and mod Podge ( Psst .... The stencils were from TCW)

I then, added my mulberry and some metal embellishments using a heat gun ... brushed it with Gesso again and sprayed it with Lindy's moonshadow and starburst sprays :)

I absolutely lowee my sprays .. They're the best addition to my craft supplies :)

I've used pattern paper for the back of my clock face ( messed it up a lil :)... so fixed it with adding a purple cardstock at the back :D)

I have To Thank Mallika for this project :)..... She's truly an amazing crafter :)

A Yummilicious .... Layout

So yeah  :)... I've not been blogging ...I have been crafting ... (coz its developed into my first love ) but not been sharing it ...

So .. finally, here I am .. Back ,with a layout that I made for the 25th anniversary of a very special couple.

Ive used Patterned paper from one of my DCWV stacks, A handful of mum's.. Some spellbinder die cut's, stamped out butterflies and then accentuated the layout with wooden cut outs and embellished sentiments :)

Wanted to keep the whole project .. Simple .. yet elegant.

Mixed Media

My first attempt at making a mixed media project :)

This was a project that I had been waiting to work on for the longest time ... but it was only after several delays that I finally managed to finish this :)

I have worked on a 8 X 6 canvas for this .... The embellishments were mostly from my crafting stash :)

The canvas is primed with Gesso and then stenciled on with some modeling paste and stencils from The crafters workshop....

After I finished embellishing it :)... came my utmost favorite part :).... Misting ....

The entire project is then misted with ( my absolute favorite ) Lindy's starburst and moonshadow spray's :)

My love for... everything Creative

So.. After dilly dallying for several months, I finally decided to take the plunge into the blogging world of crafting ....

My love for everything design related is not new, but the plunge into the crafting and paper world has been fairly recent.

What started out with a few experiments has been gradually turning into a full fledged affair :) with everything crafty ;)

My first project here is something that is super close to my heart as I made it as a birthday gift for a very dear friend ...
